On behalf of the HLF board of directors, this is to inform you that our spring book sale scheduled to begin May 9 has been officially cancelled.  Although we aren’t certain what the situation will be at that time, we felt a book sale would not be high on anyone’s list .  We are all looking forward to a fall sale that will be twice as large as normal.  We hope this finds all of you safe and secure at home.

EXCITING NEWS: From our Librarian, Diane Johnson:

.  Miss all of you so much.    The latest news is we are getting a grand piano, well actually 2 if I can get a mover to move the antique one.   The courtyard has 2 wonderful new picnic tables, new cushions for all the chairs and I think an Eagle Scout  wants to do a project to build a large plater for the front entry way and benches for the courtyard.  Those details still need to be worked out.  The art wall has been painted the kitchen staff area has been remodeled, painted and leather loveseat and a large round table has been moved into the kitchen for better staff seating.   Study rooms will get painted this Friday.  Even though we have been closed to the patrons, we have been very busy getting things all fixed up to welcome the patrons back at some point. New security system will be finished this coming week.   I cannot wait for you to see everything.  Stay safe and hope to see you soon when things calm down a bit more.
